Backflow testing is required to protect all of us from harmful chemicals and impurities that can enter our drinking water through backflow or cross-contamination. ***Pricing Structure - Effective Fall 2021***
In our many years of business, we've never raised our prices. We planned to in '20, but held off due to the financial impact COVID has had on so many. However, with the prices of everything continuing to rise, and like so many other businesses, we now have to. With a few exceptions (financial hardship, etc), our updated pricing structure follows:
BACKFLOW TESTS - RESIDENTIAL CLIENTS (commercial, add $10 per device/service)
Base Price for Annual Retest Clients in EUG/SPR. Base price - $45
Base Price for One Time Only Tests in EUG/SPR - $55
-BF TEST / BORDERING TOWNS - All non-Eugene/non-Springfield. Includes fuel/labor surcharge:
- Annual retest clients: $55
- One time only: $65
- BF TEST / CALL FIRST:
- Annual retest clients: $50
- One time only: $60
- BF TEST / CRAWL SPACE/inaccessible - $70
- BF TEST / APPOINTMENT REQUIRED (Specific date & time required):
- Annual retest clients: $70
- One time only: $75
Commercial properties/services, please add $10 per device/service
WINTERIZING AND DE-WINTERIZING/SPRING TURN ON - RESIDENTIAL CLIENTS (commercial, add $10 per device/service)
Base Price for Annual Winterizing/De-Winterizing Clients in EUG/SPR. $45/ea
Base Price for One Time Only Winterizing/De-Winterizing Clients in EUG/SPR- $55/ea
- WINTERIZING/DE-WINTERIZING / BORDERING TOWNS - All non-Eugene/non-Springfield. Includes fuel/labor surcharge:
- Annual clients: $55/ea
- One time only clients: $65/ea
- WINTERIZING/DE-WINTERIZING / CALL FIRST:
- Annual clients: $50/ea
- One time only clients: $60/ea
- WINTERIZING/DE-WINTERIZING APPOINTMENT REQUIRED (Specific date & time required):
- Annual service clients: $70
- One time only: $75
Add $10 if de-winterizing is requested after 5/31 or winterizing requested after 11/1.
Commercial properties/services, please add $10 per device/service
ANNUAL BUNDLE PACKAGE (annual backflow test, winterizing, and de-winterizing/spring turn on)
$110/yr. Prepayment is no longer required for annual service. We can split it out and bill for you as we conduct each service.
* Late turn on requests (after 5/31) and late winterizing requests (after 11/1), add $10
*BORDERING TOWNS (All non-Eugene/non-Springfield) - Add $10 fuel/labor fee to base price
* CALL FIRST/ - Add additional $5
We will still continue to try to match competitor pricing when possible during our busy season. We are NOT able to price match new sign ups between July 31 and May 1 of the following year, as each new request involves a special trip.
Please note that you MUST notify us BEFORE we provide service if you move, sell, or do not need service. Once we test or provide other service, the fee is due from the person(s) who requested service. We cannot bill new owners for services requested by another person/prior owners.
Terra Nova is licensed, insured, bonded, and certified by the State of Oregon's Department of Human Services. We specialize in backflow installation, testing, inspection, and repair. Because state law requires you to have your backflow system tested annually, Terra Nova offers fast, reliable testing at competitive, guaranteed rates. We now charge for failed tests, but if yours fails and Terra Nova conducts the necessary repairs, you will NOT be billed for the second/passing test (post-repair). You will only be billed one test fee. Simply call us or complete our backflow test request form to request your test.
NOTE: We will notify your water purveyor that we're conducting the tests for you. We strive to complete the tests as quickly as possible. During our busy season (spring/summer months), it can take from a few days to several weeks to complete tests, depending on your area. We'll notify both you and and your water purveyor of the results and leave an invoice on the property on the date of service.
We will contact all non-EWEB customers and EWEB customers who have special requirements and/or who have backflow devices inside or not normally accessible to schedule backflow tests. Non-EWEB customers, please include your backflow device serial number and device location (if available) on the form.
